Joe: Our church and our relationship with God has been an important part of our lives for decades. We've always made an annual commitment to support the operating budget, giving back to God in gratefulness for all the gifts God has given to us. Over the years we've increased our proportional giving to a tithe of our annual income and it has truly brought great joy to us.
Anna: As we did our life planning, using the life planning manual to get our affairs in order, we decided we wanted to leave a legacy gift to fund future mission and ministry in our church. We decided to leave a tithe (10%) of our estate to the church. Our attorney used the sample language provided by the Diocese of Olympia planned giving office.
You also may want to make it easy and convenient to have a bequest included in your will. The language below shows how a bequest can very easily be included in your will.
